We are pleased to announce our Featured CCAC Artist for June 2026 is Sarah Wood!
Sarah Wood is a St. Johns native who loves all things creative, especially art, photography, and writing. A few years back, Sarah started selling some of her artwork and photographs as prints, bookmarks, stickers, and other assorted products. This was the beginning of Sarah Wood Art and Photography LLC.
Over the past couple years, Sarah has worked to take her love of traditional mediums (such as charcoal and paints) and learn more about drawing digitally. Despite what some may think, it actually comes with many new challenges of its own! In that time, Sarah has been able to explore a range of detailed styles to more cartoony, graphic styles.
Sarah struggles to pick any one medium as a favorite and has explored others as well, including but not limited to epoxy resin and jewelry making.
While there’s no single topic to all of her pieces, nature is a recurring theme that presents itself throughout her work. Similarly, Sarah enjoys celebrating the things in life we too often speed right by, and likes to create art and take photos that remind us to slow down, look around, and enjoy the moment.
We invite you to join us at the Art & Soul Gallery for Sarah’s reception on Friday, June 26, 2026 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Come meet Sarah, view her work on display at the gallery, participate in a Question and Answer Session about her work, inspiration, background, and discuss some of the stories behind her work. Refreshments will be served.
