“Creating Everyday Connections” Art Contest

Celebrating Clinton Transit 25th Anniversary

In honor of their 25th Anniversary celebration, Clinton Transit has decided to hold an Art Contest to fill their facility with local artist’s work. There are 3 categories with 4 winners total.

Is there a theme?

Yes! The Clinton Transit has requested:

Junior High Entry – Show the community what “Connection” looks like to you through your art.

High School and Adult/Professional Entries – Show the community what “Creating Everyday Connections” looks like through your art.

What are the 3 categories?

Junior High Entry – Artist must be attending Junior High or are homeschooled in that age range and reside in Clinton County to enter.

High School Entry – Artist must be attending High School or are homeschool within that age range and reside in Clinton County to enter.

Adult/Professional Entry – Must live in Clinton, Eaton, or Ingham counties or must be a CCAC Artist to enter.

Are there prizes?

Junior High Entry will be awarded $100 for their artwork.

High School Entry will be awarded $250 for their artwork.

Adult/Professional will have 2 winners. Runner will be awarded $500 for their artwork. Top Prize will receive $1,000 for their artwork.

Rules:

1. Artwork must be hangable.

2. Minimum size requirement “8 x 10”

3. Maximum size requirement 48” x 48”

4. Any medium can be used if the finished piece can be hung.

5. Artists may only enter one piece.

6. Finished artwork can contain multiple pieces but will be considered ONE complete entry.

Deadline for Entry:

Artists have from now until September 11, 2026 to create their entry. All work must be turned in by September 11, 2026 to be eligible for the contest. Please turn in your work to the Art & Soul Gallery located at 215 N. Clinton Avenue, Saint Johns, MI 48879.

Exhibition and Voting:

All entries will be made viewable to the public September 12 through September 19, 2026 both through an in-person exhibition where people can ballot vote for each category and online through a Google Form. People can vote for one winner in each category (Junior High, High School, and Adult/Professional) and may only turn in ONE ballot. Location of the exhibition is yet to be determined.

Voting will be available on Clinton Transit Facebook, Clinton County Arts Facebook, MyBlueBus.com and clintoncountyarts.org

When will the winners be announced?

Winning entries will be “purchased” with prize money – to be hung in Clinton Transit Administration Building, plaques with contest and artist name under art on wall. Winners will be announced September 26, 2026 at the Clinton Transit 25th Anniversary Celebration Event.

Is there a cost to register?

There is no cost to register, but a donation to the CCAC is appreciated!


Below you will find printable copies of both the Student registration and the Adult/Professional registration. There is also an online form. We ask for registrations so we know the amount of space we will need for the Artist Exhibition.
