St. Johns City Park Performance Shell A CONTEST FOR SOLO SINGERS ONLY Singers must be 12 years old or older and a resident of Clinton County Singers must register by July 6, 2009 Contest is limited to the first 30 applicants Songs must be appropriate for family listening Singers must have 2 songs ready to perform Songs must be of reasonable length (around 3 min. or less) There is a $10 registration fee payable to “Clinton County Arts Council” Accompaniment is limited to one of the following: CD, Solo Guitar or Solo Keyboard Tuesday, July 14th is the preliminary round with all 30 singers performing a song of their choice. A panel of 3 judges will select 12 singers to come back to sing again the next evening. The audience will then vote, selecting 6 singers to come back to sing a second song. The audience will vote again, selecting our top three winners receiving cash awards – 1st place $200, 2nd place $50 and 3rd place $25.
